Philpott & Sawtelle, PLLC, once housed in the old, historic “Quilt Shop” building at 127 East New York Avenue in DeLand has moved! The firm now practices out of its new, more spacious offices at 138 West New York Avenue – just down the street next to Tony’s Pizza. The partner’s have enjoyed their nearly three year run practicing law at their previous location but are looking forward to new challenges and opportunities to grow.

The firm is a product of the efforts of its partners Danny Philpott, a former Volusia County prosecutor and Scott Sawtelle, a former Seminole and Volusia County Public Defender and private criminal defense attorney. Mr. Philpott and Mr. Sawtelle are proud to serve the varied legal needs of DeLand and surrounding communities from both the eastern part of the county (Oak Hill, Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach, Port Orange, Ponce Inlet, and the Daytona Beach area) to the western communities of Deltona, Lake Helen, Orange City and Debary. While both Mr. Philpott and Mr. Sawtelle are experienced criminal trial attorneys and will continue to represent the rights and interests of criminal defendants, they will also provide a variety of additional legal services such as wills, trusts and general estate planning, assistance with family law issues and contract and property concerns.

Of course, we have been very fortunate to have the support of East and West Volusia County residents as well as citizens from surrounding communities these past years and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship for many years to come.
